On December 14th, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario at the Searchmont Ski Resort for the CSRA National Snocross Season Kick-Off."I was so fired up for this season that when I line-up I for Pro Stock Final I jumped the flag (argh). That put me in the back row to start the Pro Stock Final. When the flag dropped this time I just hit the throttle and set my sights on taking one racer at a time, ultimately finishing 4th out of 14. I've got my season opener jitters out of the way and feel like everything is in sync - An awesome sled, crew and I feel super strong because I worked with an incredible personal trainer (Drew Robertson of Evolved Nutrient) all summer. I just can't wait to get back out there!" Said a very excited Joanis.
Ryan Ellery a fantastic mechanic is on the road with Dave and now we are stoked to announce the much celebrated Iantomasi Racing Crew are joining our team. Joanis took 1st in his heat races and went on to win the Pro Stock Final."I've gotta say winning the Final was sweet! I came into the weekend after practicing all week confident I could be a contender. My sled ran awesome and after my heat races I was totally fired-up! I had a great holeshot at the line and just focused on taking it home. A huge THANKS to my dad Gerry, a great crew and my outstanding sponsors who allow me to have the best job in the world" said Joanis
Dave also did really well in his Pro Open heats but when the flag for the Final fell Joanis got tangled up with a group of racers right off the line and was off his sled. He jumped back on and gave it a great effort ultimately finishing the race in 7th place. It was a great weekend and we are pumped for the next race.

Dave JoanisLeadsPro StockYear-End Points Championship!
Cochrane, Ontario Feb 3, 2010Heading into the race in Owen Sound On, it was a three way battle tie for 1st place in the Pro Stock Regional Points Championship between #115 Dave Joanis #73 Lee Butler, and #98 Michael Island. That all changed after a great weekend for Joanis! Dave won both his Pro Stock qualifiers which earned him gate pick #1 in the final. When the flag dropped #999 Vandolder got the holeshot which put him in an early lead with Joanis on his heals. Dave took his time, watching every move Vandolder was making and with only a few laps remaining, Joanis made his move. He slipped by Vandolder and took the win in front of Vandolder's home town. Butler finished 3rd. It was a very exciting race and win for the Bourque's Polaris Racing Team as it meant Joanis was now taking over the lead in the Pro Stock Regional Points Championship. In Pro Open, Dave had a mishap in his first qualifier where he finished in 6th, then finished 2nd in his 2nd qualifier and 1st in his 3rd qualifier. He lined-up for the Final and the race was red flagged due to a crash in the first corner. Dave spun out on ice on the re-start which left him needing to fly to make up time and position. Dave charged his way through the 15 lap final but as he was getting closer and closer to the hard charging front runners, he ran out of time. He finishing in 4th place which bumps him up a position to 2nd place in the Pro Open Regional Points Championship.Dave has shown that he is in the best shape of his carreer, thanks to his personal trailer Drew Robertson from Evolved Nutrition. Dave did not run out of stamina just laps. Dave said"I have to thank the incredibly talented Iantomasi Brothers and the Crew! My Polaris Stock and Open sleds are so well tuned and fast that it makes my job a lot easier. I can just concentrate on going out there and winning races!"The next CSRA race is not until Feb 13th in Barrie Ontario, therefore, Dave and his team are heading this weekend to race the Eastern ISOC Nationals in Farmington NY. Dave is fired-up to compete against some of the best riders in the world. Viewers can watch the races by going to the ISOC Racing website for live stream.Outstanding Sponsors!Bourque's Polaris, Polaris Racing, Walker Evans Shocks, Kimpex, Ipone Oils, Stud Boy, ECD Graphx, Graphic Encounters, FXR, American Hauler Trailers, M.J. Dave JoanisTest Drives theISOC National Tour
Cochrane, Ontario Feb 9, 2010With a little break in the CSRA Race Schedule we decided to run over to New York and participate in the National ISOC Amsoil Championship Snocross Series. This was our team's first NATIONAL race this season so we were unsure what to expect. It was awesome! It was both exciting and challenging to adapt to the track with a lot more man-made snow. After getting out on the track we tweaked the machines and sent Dave back out and tweaked again until both Dave and the mechanics were satisfied with the sled set up. And then we raced and tweaked.Friday - Semi Pro Super Stock #1 (23 riders in that class)1st Heat Race - Joanis lined up, the flag fell and all the nerves disappeared. The first heat he came in 3rd. Not bad... The second heat he got hit right off the line, hand got smashed and ripped the hand protector but he came up through the pack to place 2nd. We were pumped! In the Final he had an outside line and in the first corner he got shoved off the track and lost a few positions but fought hard and came back up through the pack to take 7th place.
Saturday Semi Pro Super Stock #2 (25 riders in that class)Tried to help Dave out a bit and get him out of the hornets nest by doing some carb and clutching changes for hole shot without sacrificing backshift, but everyone else stepped up to the plate as well. Lesson learned :)Outstanding Sponsors! The first heat he came in 5th and the second heat came in 3rd. That meant Dave had to come up through the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier). He got tangled up and came in 4th.
This put Dave in the back of the pack for final. He came out of the corner in 7th place, completed a few pirouettes along the backstretch, got straightened out passed a few sleds and came out with an impressive 5th place out of 15 riders.
It was a fantastic experience plus a confidence builder. This was Dave's first time competing this year at the national level and he would call the weekend a huge success! Joanis said "I came into the weekend wondering how the competition compared from the CSRA Circuit and I'm stoked to say I have what it takes to compete in this venue. I think if I competed here on a regular basis it would be just a short time until I got on the podium. That is my hope for the near future!"The entire Bourque Racing Team sends a huge thanks to Brad the Polaris partsman, and "no your not just a truck driver Brad" for always having a smile and having our parts and on time for the next race.
Tom Rager JR. for jumping right in to give us advice whenever we needed him. He was great !Plus Ben and John from Walker Evans racing shocks for being there when we needed them.
CSRA Series Racing resumes again this weekend. We are getting ready for the Royal Cup at the Georgian Downs in Barrie Ontario.Bourque's Polaris, Polaris Racing, Walker Evans Shocks, Kimpex, Ipone Oils, Stud Boy, ECD Graphx, Graphic Encounters, FXR, American Hauler Trailers, M.J.
